Automotive manufacturing is evolving as more people gravitate toward electric cars. Dodge is keeping up with these trends while continuing to offer the traditional “muscle car” for all the performance and power you want.

Our Yaklin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) staff knows everything about Dodge models. We’d love to share our knowledge to see if a Dodge is right for your family. Continue reading as we provide a glimpse into Dodge’s innovation.

Dodge Hornet

The Dodge Hornet is ushering in a new era for Dodge. It’s a premier and potential originator of a new vehicle category: the compact utility vehicle. The Hornet combines utility vehicle features with muscle car performance.

The current Hornet is available in two trim styles. The R/T performance hybrid marks Dodge’s first efforts to provide legacy performance in electric vehicle technology. The R/T offers 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, while the GT runs on a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder Hurricane4 engine, generating 268 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque. Both cars offer high-end performance in suspension, braking, steering, and handling.

Dodge Challenger

“An All-American icon.” That’s how Dodge describes the Challenger, a model that has firmly established the Dodge brand in the hearts and minds of the driving community.

Engines in the Challenger range from the modest 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 to the ultra-powerful, supercharged 6.2-liter high-output HEMI eight-cylinder.

If you opt for the supercharged engine, hold onto your hat, as you’ll have at least 800 horsepower behind you. The Challenger generates 19 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg on the highway for a combined rating of 23 mpg.

Dodge Charger

The Charger, the Challenger’s sister vehicle, is available in trims with names unique to the auto industry, such as the Hellcat Redeye and the SRT Redeye Jailbreak.

The Charger offers similar performance in a more compact package. It runs at the high end on the 807-horsepower Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI High-Output SRT V-8 engine, while other engines power down to about 717 horsepower. Fuel economy is identical to the Challenger at 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.
